Faxes
Fax Server
The Hit Promotional Products Fax Server automatically converts incoming faxes and routes them to the appropriate individual based on the fax number that the fax was sent to. Customer Service Representatives are given individual fax numbers, and should encourage their customers to use these numbers rather than the "General Fax Number" (514-5130).
When a Fax is received, the Fax Server will store a copy of the fax in the user's fax mailbox, and attempt to send a copy as an attachment in an email. Users can view their faxes by right clicking on the Fax Util icon next to the clock, and selecting "FaxUtil" or by waiting for the faxes to appear emails to appear in Outlook.
The time it takes for a fax to be converted to an email depends on the current workload of the server, but should take less than 10 minutes.
Note:
- The FaxUtil serves as the official record of faxes that are received. Emails are sent as notifications of the incoming fax. It is possible (though unlikely)that you can receive a fax and not receive an email.
- If you haven't received any faxes in your Outlook for a prolonged period of time, check your FaxUtil to see if there are any faxes in there that have not been sent to your Outlook notify itsupport@hitpromo.net
